MagFy Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the MagFy mobile app ("MagFy", "the
app"), operated by Shubham Sharma ("we", "us"). By
creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. What MagFy is
MagFy is a personal finance tracking tool that helps you log expenses,
set budgets and savings goals, split shared expenses with others, and get
an AI-generated advisor summary of your own spending data.
MagFy is not a licensed financial advisor. The AI
advisor and any tips, suggestions, or insights in the app are for general
informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment,
tax, or legal advice. We do not recommend specific stocks, funds,
insurance, or credit products. Always consult a qualified professional for
decisions that materially affect your finances.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information (phone/email) to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your device and credentials secure.
- You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction to use MagFy.
3. Subscriptions & purchases ("Premium")
- MagFy offers optional paid plans ("Premium") on a monthly or yearly
auto-renewing subscription basis, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- All purchases are processed exclusively through the Apple
App Store or Google Play Store using their in-app purchase
systems. We do not process payments directly and never see your card or
billing details.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at
the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the
renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your
Apple ID / Google Play account settings.
- Free trials: Where offered, a free trial converts
automatically to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple or Google
according to their own policies — we cannot issue refunds directly.

- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency as set by the
store and may vary by region.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use MagFy for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law.
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or bypass the app's
security, purchase validation, or usage limits.
- Use the AI advisor to attempt to extract harmful, illegal, or
abusive content, or misuse it in a way that violates OpenAI's usage policies.
- Share your account with others in a way that compromises its security.
5. Group splits & shared data
When you use group splits, expense details and amounts you enter are
visible to the other members of that group, as necessary for the feature
to work. Don't add real financial details to a shared split with someone
you don't want to see them.
6. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into MagFy. By
using the AI advisor, you grant us a limited right to send a summary of
that data to our AI provider solely to generate a response to you, as
described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete
account, which permanently removes your data.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or
engage in abuse, fraud, or attempts to circumvent purchase validation or
usage limits.
8. Disclaimers
MagFy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not
guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated insights, categorization, or
recurring-payment detection — always verify important financial decisions
independently. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable
for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use
of the app.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use of MagFy
after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material
changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to
conflict of law principles, unless a different governing law is required
by the law of your country of residence.
